Have You Got What It Takes to Join the Alphabet Team?
Alphabet Requires Experienced Transcribers
At Alphabet, we only recruit the best transcribers. If you are an experienced transcriber, with a passion for professionalism and think you can meet our exacting standards, why not apply to join our team?
We are always looking for transcription experts to work from home. If you fancy a job that fits in with your lifestyle or parenting commitments, this could be it. You will be self-employed, giving you the freedom to work when you like – doing something that you enjoy. Be your own boss and start earning in as little as seven days.
How Do I Apply?
If English is your first language and you have your own transcription software and equipment, we want to hear from you. Simply fill out the online form (on this website) and upload your CV. Because we only recruit experienced transcribers, there are two things we will test you on – your grasp of grammar and, of course, transcription skills. Our short sound file is used to assess candidates’ ability to listen to and interpret speech correctly, whilst carrying out the appropriate research.
This is your chance to shine – to show us at Alphabet why you should be part of our team. Experienced transcribers enjoy these tasks, saying they value the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and be judged on their expertise.
What Equipment Will I Need?
Because our transcribers are self-employed, they must have their own transcription equipment, including computer software. Typically, our transcribers work with MP3, WAV, WMA, DSS and DVF files, so your equipment must be able to handle them. You will need a fast broadband connection, an email account and up-to-date virus and spyware software installed on your computer.
All our transcribers use cupping headphones. These are the most important piece of equipment you will purchase. We recommend BOSE, because of their excellent sound quality, but Plantronics and Beyerdynamic are also popular with our transcribers.
I’ve Got the Job, What Next?
Successful candidates are usually notified within seven working days. If your application is successful, we will ask you to sign a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement. Why? Because keeping our clients’ data secure is our top priority.
Once the formalities are out of the way, you’re a member of the Alphabet Team. Welcome!
